An Advance Directive helps determine the type of medical care and pain management you receive at the end of your life when you are no longer able to make the decision in the moment by yourself.  How much medical intervention do you want in order to extend your life?  Do you want to appoint a healthcare agent to make these decisions on your behalf when you are no longer able?  These are some of the considerations that go into drafting this important document.
