Maryland Attorney, Uchenna Joseph

Uchenna J. Joseph graduated from the University Of Baltimore School
Of Law and the Merrick School of Business with a joint JD/MBA degree.
She is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and New
Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.
Ms. Joseph is experienced in both transactional corporate work and
defense litigation. Her transactional work experience began as early
as her law school days when she worked as a law clerk for Washington
Homes, Inc., a well known residential home builder in the Baltimore/Washington
Metropolitan area. She went on to serve as Staff Attorney at David
S. Brown Enterprises, where she handled general corporate matters,
construction law issues, commercial and residential loan financing
matters. Ms. Joseph entered the intriguing world of defense litigation
when she joined the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore
City as an Assistant Public Defender, where she successfully litigated
hundreds of criminal cases. After a couple of years as an Assistant
Public Defender, Ms. Joseph was tapped to serve as an Associate
General Counsel for the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning
Commission. As Associate General Counsel, she served as the in-house
counsel for the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation,
advising the Director and her staff on legal issues affecting the
department. In addition to her trial experience, she is highly experienced
in the drafting and reviewing of various contract documents, land
acquisition contracts, corporate resolutions, land use matters and
other forms of business documents.
Ms. Joseph served as Business Editor of the University of Baltimore
Law Forum. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland
State Bar association, J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association and the
Prince George's County Bar Association.
